Lauren Fairman
Head Coach 12 Red

Lauren Fairman has been coaching with Max Performance for 6 years and is currently the Head Coach for our 12 Red team. She played competitive volleyball though middle school and all four years at Round Rock High School. While primarily a libero, she also spent a few earlier years as an Outside hitter / Right side hitter. Lauren began coaching at age 18, helping run clinics and giving private lessons over the summer for Max Performance while attending Texas A&M University. She recently graduated from Texas State University with a Master's in Education along with obtaining her teaching certification in science, health, and math. Lauren currently teaches Algebra at Round Rock High School where she also coaches Track and is the Head Coach for the Volleyball Flex Team.
Lauren’s favorite part about coaching is having the opportunity to aid and watch young athletes grow as players and as people. Some of the most influential people in her life growing up were her coaches, and she wants to give back to the community that helped her develop into the person she is today.

Leah Turner

Dr. Leah Turner is a native of Norwalk, Ohio. As a member of the West Virginia State volleyball team, she served as team captain in 2004 and 2005. Athletic honors included first-team All-WVIAC, WVIAC All-Freshman team, and WVIAC All-Tournament team along with a collection of 14 all-time school records. In 2019 she was inducted into the West Virginia State Hall of Fame.
Leah has was an Asst. Coach at the University of Charleston for 5 years and was a Head High School Coach for 4 years. She also coached Club Volleyball for 6 years and served as Club Director. When Leah is not coaching or playing Volleyball, she is working at The University of Texas as a Research Scientist and Director of the Hydrology Acadamic Non-Profit, CUAHSI. Leah currently lives in Pflugerville with her daughter, 10 year old daughter, Lily (Max 12 Red), and 12 year old son, Chandler. Max is very excited to have Leah coaching with us this year!

Christine Gola
Head Coach 13 Red

Christine was born in Austin and started playing volleyball in the 7th grade and played throughout High School. She played two years of juniors USAV and continued to play USAV at the adult level for the next 12 years including traveling annually to nationals. She still plays recreationally with almost 35 years of playing experience under her belt.
Christine began coaching USAV juniors with Hill Country Elite VC in Dripping Springs, coaching all age groups as well as serving on the board. During this time, she was also the head JV coach and assistant varsity coach at Austin Waldorf. She then transitioned into working with Bobby Jones and Project Serve Beach Volleyball where she ran the administrative side of the business, organized and hosted USAV beach tournaments, and coached both boys and girls from the ages of 8 to 18. Since then, she has volunteer coached for 3 years with the Georgetown Rec Center and continues to volunteer coach periodically with the Florence High School Volleyball program. She is a wife and a mom of two kids and they currently live in Florence. When not coaching she and her husband have been in business for themselves for 19 years running a civil construction excavation and underground utility company. She absolutely love teaching it to young athletes and we are excited to have her coaching at Max Performance.

3. She swam with the great white sharks in South Africa
4. Her family has been in Texas since the 1800’s and she is a Daughter of the Republic of Texas

Kennedy Grubbs

Kennedy was born in Bryan College Station and currently lives in Round Rock. She is a senior at Cedar Ridge High School where she played Libero for all 4 years. She has also played for several club volleyball teams in the Central Texas Region. This is Kennedy's first coaching experience and we are happy to have her working with the 13's this year. When not going to school, coaching, or hanging out with her three siblings, Kennedy works at Kerby Lane Cafe. Kennedy will be attending Texas A & M University in the fall to pursue her degree in Interior Design and Architecture.

Lynnlee was born and raised in Wichita Falls where she played Middle and High School For Notre Dame Catholic School and then at S. H. Rider High School as a Setter/Opposite/Outside. She has coached 6 years of Rec Volleyball and 2 years of Club. This is Coach Crow’s first year with Max Performance where she’ll be coaching her daughter, Josie, on our 13’s squad.
Lynnlee has been married to her husband for 16 years and they have two daughters, ages 12 and 14. When not coaching, she is a Starbucks Store Manager and an Operations Manager for a Mocap company in LA. We are excited to have Coach Crow coaching with us at Max this year!

Ashley Dennes

Coach Ashley was born in Austin Texas. Her father was an Air Force pilot which meant that Ashley has lived in various cities around Texas, Kansas, & Illinois. She attended high school in Derby, Kansas where she played volleyball as a setter. She then attended College at Texas State University majoring in Exercise Sports Science and eventually transferred to McKendree College in Illinois to be near her family. While finishing up her degree in Elementary Education she coached a local Illinois Club 17s team. During her student teaching, she received an exciting opportunity to be the head coach of the local middle school. After returning to Texas she taught 2nd grade at Meridian Primary School and coached club ball for the Roots organization.
Ashley currently teaches ESL at Round Rock High School and coaches the Volleyball freshman team. When not teaching or coaching volleyball, you can find her coaching Zumba classes at Lifetime Fitness. We are excited to have Ashley's enthusiasm and coaching expertise at Max Performance.

She is currently enrolled at Temple College on a Volleyball Scholarship and plans to continue her volleyball career at a University next fall.
